Q1: What is the difference between steel and plastic tanks?
With a steel water tank you get all the advantages of a tank that is strong, corrosion resistant and durable. It won’t crack as a result of sun exposure and it is the ideal choice for bushfire prone locations. Steel water tanks meet all Bushfire CRC and Rural Fire Service standards as apposed to plastic alternatives which will split, collapse and melt as a result of fire or sun exposure.
Steel water tanks are manufactured using fully recyclable material, therefore has no harsh impact on our environment. Steel water tanks have stood the test of time and proven themselves to be the strongest quality of water tank in the industry. They are a stylish feature to any property or home and are aesthetically pleasing as apposed to the overall appearance of a plastic tank.

Q3: What fittings are fitted to the water tank?
All of Richmond Tank Works Pty Ltd water tanks come standard with the following:
1 x 25mm Outlet
1 x 90mm Overflow
1 x 400mm Inlet Strainer
Although, you do have the option of upgrading the fittings to bigger sizes or even downsizing to smaller size fittings.
